TKi Motorsport descended upon Pocono Raceway for the second and last time of the 2010 season. Their basic strategy: improving finishing positions from their last visit to this circuit. Their plan of action prevailed with a 1st place GTS3 victory.
Koropchak immediately dominated the time sheets on Saturday; quickest in morning practice and less than two hundredths of a second from pole position during qualifying. Race one finished with TKi Motorsport and Koropchak safely securing first place.
Sunday ultimately proved to be more challenging. A heated battle ensued from the drop of the green flag between Koropchak’s Volvo S60 Challenge and Hugh Stewart’s #22 BMW M3. Crossing the finish line side by side, both cars made contact. As a result, race officials disallowed TKi Motorsport from Sunday’s race. Watch the in-car video, and you be the judge:
The next race weekend is October 2 and October 3 at the world renowned Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York.
